27 December 04 21 Surrey SAR and 15 Central Fraser Valley SAR members responded to search for a despondent male in the White Rock area. Individual was located deceased and turned over to the Coroner.

30 November 04 15 Surrey SAR members responded to search for a despondent 17 year old male who had gone missing from his residence in Surrey. The individual was located in good condition and taken to hospital for observation.

3 November 12 Surrey and 2 Central Fraser Valley SAR members responded to search for an Alzheimer's patient who went missing in the Surrey area. Subject was located alive and well and was returned home.

6 October 04 7 Surrey SAR were called out to search for an elderly male suffering from Alzheimer's who had walked away from his residence. The subject was located a few houses away from his residence and was taken to hospital for observation and treatment.

16 September 04 21 Surrey SAR members searched for a despondent female last seen at Semiahmoo School in Surrey. No sign of the individual was found and the search was stood down.

12 September 04 18 Surrey SAR members responded to search for a missing elderly woman last seen at her residence early in the morning. The individual was located by local citizens. The elderly female was dehydrated but generally in good shape.

24 August 04 45 SAR members from Ridge Meadows, CFV, Mission, Surrey, Coquitlam and North Shore SAR responded to rescue an 18 year male with a broken ankle in the Golden Ears Provincial Park. The subject was transported out in a basket stretcher and transferred to BCAS.

2 July 0415 Central Fraser Valley and 9 Surrey SAR members responded to search for an 80 year old dementia patient who had walked away from his care facility in Abbotsford. The subject was located in good condition at his son's house.

19 June 04 26 Surrey SAR members responded to search for a missing Alzheimer's patient. The subject was located in good condition at her previous residence.

15 June 04 18 Surrey SAR responded to search for a 6 year old boy reported missing in the area of 90th Avenue and 150th Street. He was successfully located a short distance from his residence.

14 May 04 Central Fraser Valley, Mission and Surrey SAR members responded to search for a missing female in the Mount Lehman area of Abbotsford. The female was located about 5km from the last point seen unharmed.

30 Apr 04 26 Surrey and Central Fraser Valley SAR members responded to locate a distraught male in the Surrey area. SAR teams were stood down when it was reported that the male had walked into the local hospital.

4 Apr 04 19 Surrey and Central Fraser Valley SAR members responded to search for a 5 year old missing in Surrey. Subject was located alive and well and the SAR team stood down.

27 Mar 04 29 Surrey and Central Fraser Valley SAR members responded to search for a missing 82 year old Asian female missing in the River Road area of Richmond. The subject was located in good health.

21 Mar 04 15 Surrey and 4 Coquitlam SAR members were called out by the RCMP to assist with rescue of a despondent female on the Port Mann Bridge. She was successfully removed from the bridge without injury.

19 Mar 04 20 Surrey SAR members participated in searching for an elderly male, suffering from Alzheimer's, who had wandered away from his residence and failed to return. He was successfully located uninjured.

9 Mar 04 23 North Shore, 3 Mission, 1 Central Fraser Valley, 8 Ridge-Meadows, 17 Lions Bay, 15 Coquitlam and 4 Surrey SAR members responded to search for an elderly male after he failed to return from his daily walk in the UBC Endowment Lands. Early the next morning the subject was discovered deceased.

4 Mar 04 A total of 35 SAR members from Lions Bay, North Shore, Coquitlam and Surrey carried out a search for a despondent male missing in the UBC Endowment Lands. North Shore SAR were requested by Vancouver Police to assist in a search of the despondent male's residence and Lighthouse Park. Search is Ongoing.

15 Jan 04 28 Surrey and Central Fraser Valley SAR members responded to search for a mentally challenged 50 year old male who went missing in Surrey. The male was located in good condition in a vehicle.

11 Jan 04 White Rock RCMP requested assistance from Surrey Search and Rescue to conduct an evidence search at Centennial Park in White Rock. 12 Surrey SAR members responded.

1 Jan 04 6 Surrey SAR members responded to assist Surrey Fire Department with the rescue of a male who had fallen through the ice at Stokes Pitt in Surrey. SAR team was stood down on arrival at the scene when Fire Department reported they had safely retrieved the subject and his dog from the water.
